Construction Labourer

Position Overview

The Construction Labourer performs various heavy manual labour duties associated with construction operations. This role is responsible for forming, placing rebar, stringline and preparing granular surfaces ahead of concrete placement as well as assisting with placement of concrete.

Essential Functions

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Tend or feed various equipment used in construction.
• Level earth or granular materials to grade.
• Assist with the installation of pipe, structures and other construction infrastructure.
• Clean up debris as required.
• Ensure compliance with site health and safety requirements at all times.

Qualification

• Previous construction experience would be an asset.
• Ability to use power and hand tools safely as required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and hard working.
