Position Overview
The Construction Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the company’s survey work,
including project site set up, preparing and uploading of GPS files, as well as layout and pick up
of data across all sites.
Essential Functions
- Project start up including setting control points and setting up base stations.
- Preparing all survey files and uploading to site rovers and machines.
- Survey layout and pick up across various sites using.
- Troubleshooting survey equipment issues.
- Ensure site compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Qualification
- Post-secondary education in a construction related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in construction surveying.
- Experience with AutoCAD would be an asset.
- Experience with Trimble Business Centre and GPS would be an asset.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative to achieve results.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
